A dust "gradient" took about four months (24/7 use) to form around the "black magic" area. Also, the air intakes on the cylindrical base get dusty and eventually clogged in the same amount of time. Cleaning it took a couple seconds with a paper towel and sure as hell beat having to scrape and vacuum fins/blades on a conventional fan. Best fan I've owned. - User Comment
